Decorglass has tied up with PARAGON ARCHITECURAL PRODUCTS, LLC, one of the industry leaders in Architectural Glass. Below are the details for the PARAGON ARCHITECURAL PRODUCTS, LLC
PARAGON ARCHITECURAL PRODUCTS, LLC, (www.glassengineer.com) is an innovator and leader in the structural glass industry. As a designer / engineer & fabricator of structural glass systems we have completed 100s of projects worldwide. Our expertise in Glass Fin Systems, Tension Structures, Glass Canopies, Roof & Skylight Structures and Glass Flooring / Glass Staircase Systems have afforded us the opportunity to collaborate with many of the world’s premiere architects.
Paragon has completed projects of monumental scale. As a single-source-supplier we have the ability to execute and manage a multitude of diverse projects with ease. Our engineering team utilizes state-of the-art structural analysis software and all materials (glass, steel & aluminum) are fabricated on CNC machinery in exceeding ASTM and ISO 9001 standards, ensuring precise tolerances and the highest quality. Paragon’s focus has always been on safety & innovation. It is our mission to design the most transparent & innovative glazing systems.
In 2005 we completed ‘CalPERS Headquarters Expansion Project’ (Sacramento, CA.) Here the design challenge was to create a structural glass system to handle extreme seismic conditions. In answering this challenge Paragon developed & tested a custom glazing system including proprietary hardware, which allowed for 12” drift.
In 2007, we completed ‘The Sail’ (in Singapore). The Sail is a cable suspended canopy (approx. 10,000 sq. ft.) connecting 3 buildings. With very high wind-load conditions and three sets of building movements, we were further challenged, as the design requirements were to employ a uni-directional, single cable. To answer this challenge Paragon employed experts from the maritime (sailing) industry to develop and test specialized stainless steel cables and custom hardware.
In 2010, we completed testing on ‘The Sixth System’, the most transparent façade system in the world. Utilizing specialized stainless steel cables and proprietary hardware, the structure of The Sixth System is concealed in the silicon butt-seams between the glazing panels. With no loss of floor space and no visible structure, The Sixth System is the evolution of the cable-net wall and is by far one the most advanced and transparent glazing system available.
Paragon Architectural Products, LLC, frequently appears on the pages of US Glass Magazine and Glass
Magazine. In 2010, Paragon was honored by GANA (The Glass Association of North America) with the Crystal
Achievement Award for the Most Innovative Curtain Wall System, The Sixth System.
In 2011 we completed the entry to 120 Park Ave. (New York, NY.) This glazing system is a 3-sided (walls) + glass roof “cube structure” structure, utilizing self-supporting glass beams. To further enhance the transparency of this system Paragon utilized Sentry Glass interlayer to embed steel hardware within the glass laminate, minimizing all hardware connections and maximizing the transparency of the glass structure. 120 Park Avenue is the home to Bloomberg Media, LP, and various high-end tenants including Oracle Software.
In 2014, Paragon was commissioned to provide design & supply of the glazing system at the Fox Sports Broadcast Booth for Superbowl XLVIII, in Time Square, New York City. With a very tight schedule, strictly regulated staging & assembly provisions, and very adverse weather conditions, Paragon was an integral component in the success of this event. As structural glass experts our success is the result of providing top-quality products, design flexibility, outstanding service and competitive pricing. Paragon structural glass systems can easily be configured to meet the aesthetic goals of almost any project.
